Montreal songwriter Daniel Isaiah brings his atmospheric blend of folk, rock and richly textured songwriting to Green Note for an intimate evening of music. Combining evocative guitar and piano with his unmistakable voice, Isaiah creates songs that balance beauty and unease, drawing listeners into a world of quiet intensity. Praised by American Songwriter and a regular presence on CBC Radio, he has performed at Osheaga, SXSW and Pop Montreal, shared stages with Stephen Malkmus, Van Dyke Parks and Patrick Watson, and earned a reputation for captivating live performances. His acclaimed Leonard Cohen tribute at Le Rialto was described by La Presse as “breathtaking”, while Cerys Matthews of BBC Radio 6 Music has called his music “Simply Beautiful”.

Joining him is Charlie Franklin, whose hauntingly intimate songs weave together folk, Romantic blues and delicate fingerstyle guitar. Moving between fragility and power, her voice carries heartfelt explorations of love and self, evoking a timeless, pastoral world of candlelit corners and woodland solitude. With shades of Laura Marling and Nick Drake, Franklin released her debut EP in May, produced by Natalie Wildgoose. The Guardian has praised her “lo-fi acoustic allure”, comparing her music to the eerie, rough-hewn folk of Jolie Holland’s early solo work.

Rooted in Montreal, Daniel Isaiah captivates audiences with his guitar, piano, and unmistakable voice. His work has been called “stunning” by American Songwriter, reached #1 on Canadian campus stations, and aired regularly on CBC Radio. His live performances have been widely praised: Alan Cross wrote, “Within thirty seconds of him coming onstage I was transfixed… extremely evocative, atmospheric and even slightly ominous.” His Leonard Cohen tribute at Le Rialto was called “breathtaking” by La Presse.
