Takes the chaotic trip-hop/space jazz infusion of the 90s into a dazzling new direction that defies genre as well as the time-space continuum.

DAAY was formed in London in 2019 by Alex Barty-King and has taken many forms since then.
DAAY is currently a 6-piece band who play regularly in both North and South London. The project’s first 3 singles were released by an entirely different line-up to today’s – the three songs are concerned primarily with themes of birth (of the band). With this new incarnation Barty-King is setting out to take on more grown-up themes of philosophic enquiry as he moves forward.
The band’s unique blend of indie rock/pop songwriting layered with jazz undertones and powerful horn arrangements is cut through with curiosity. This is set against strong lyrical themes reflecting on the simple and transformative beauty of the journey of life.
DAAY have performed at over 20 venues across London including O2 Academy Islington, The Troubadour, Sebright Arms, The Windmill, New Cross Inn and The Monarch.
Keeps you guessing, moving seamlessly from one unexpected moment to the next.
