WE ARE WILLOW SINGLE LAUNCH & VIDEO PREMIERE
WITH FELL & MOCK DEER
‘A Monkey With A Crayon In Ten Minutes’ by Noel Williams
Featuring FELL remix
Noel Williams began writing music as one half of duo BUTLER – WILLIAMS to critical acclaim touring the UK and Europe, featuring on the BBC and receiving Piccadilly Records ‘Record Of The Week’ for two consecutive releases. He features as a recording artist on the WE ARE WILLOW ‘Berlin’ album and performed to a sell out audience for its launch in the Grand Hall of The Whitworth Art Gallery, Manchester.
In the autumn of 2012 Williams recorded his solo EP ‘A Monkey With A Crayon In Ten Minutes’ produced by Simon Connor, which until now has been archived awaiting the exposure it deserves. Rediscovered, these songs of love and loss are heartfelt and pure, maintaining a romanticism that embraces and struggles with the mundanities of daily routine.
The title track single release will be available as an A3 artwork print in a limited edition of 100 – hand signed and numbered, including the download code for the track and remix.

Beautiful, sheeny, witty, baroque pop…very very special indeed.” – Lauren Laverne, BBC6 Music

FELL is Nicolas Burrows, an artist, musician and illustrator from Lancashire, based in London. Recording and performing since 2007, Nicolas has released three albums and several EPs, as well as many tapes and home recordings. In 2016 he released his first studio album under the name FELL. Recorded with Andy Ramsay of Stereolab, ‘There Are Still Mysteries’ is full of tape echo, sublime vocals, shimmering organs, understated guitars and lyrical musings on wonder, magic, mystery and myth and has earned comparisons to John Lennon and Timber Timbre.
A new audio/visual EP, ‘For The Pickling’ will be released in February 2019.

Mock Deer (Ricky Damiani) is a singer and songwriter based in London. A self-taught musician with a unique playing and writing style, he has spent the majority of his life in the North of England and has re-immersed himself in the capital’s Alt-folk scene over recent years, playing shows for many of the best local promoters as well as touring both in the UK/Europe/Canada.
As well as writing original music for theatre and television he has released two EPs, ‘Cold and Bright’ & ‘How We Used to Live’ released in July 2015. His renewed involvement in the live music scene has seen him play shows supporting great acts such as The Burning Hell (Can), Rainbrother (DK), Sam Brookes (UK) and Kristin McClement (UK) as well as appearing at several UK festivals, including Festival N6, Wilderness Festival, Ramsbottom Festival, The End & Uncivilization Festival
He is currently recording an album with producer Scott Fitzgerald and collaborating with many friends he’s met on the way, The Album promises to be something special and will hopefully be released sometime in spring 2019. Between the recording schedule he’ll be playing shows and festivals in the Uk/Europe and Canada throughout the year.
