Rumour Cubes
.. Are a London-based six-piece creating atmospheric instrumental music. Working with poets and film makers and writing custom music software to sync videos to their live performances, the band construct a multimedia experience where dense ambient textures and intricate rhythms underlie beautiful melodies highlighted by violin and viola.
The bands EP We Have Sound Houses Also has been described as phenomenal (Echoes and Dust), music to make and break hearts (The 405), enough to put the band in the running for the title of best new artist (The Silent Ballet) and the band have received airplay from BBC 6 Musics Tom Robinson.
The band have recently recorded their debut album The Narrow State at Cafe Music Studios (Orbital, Brian Eno, King Creosote) in east London which will be released on 27th February 2012.
Rumour Cubes are Joe Bartlett (bass), Terry Murphy (viola), Hannah Morgan (violin), Omar Rahwangi (drums), Adam Stark (guitar, electronics) and Simon Stark (guitar, electronics).
Soulmates Never Die
.. is a young lad called Josh from Leeds! Hes been getting noticed recently for his very catchy songs that have a very differnet sound, that some describe as Grunge/Folk! His songs are sometimes reminisent of Bright Eyes with a flair for wit and a slightly poppier edge!
Mike Nisbet
‘Vagrant’ is the debut album from Oban-born musician Mike Nisbet. A Diving Bell Production, it was recorded in Glasgow in October 2010 by Marcus Mackay and will be released on (9/06/2011).
The albums ten tracks were written in the winter of 2009. After spending more than a year living between London and Glasgow so the songs are primarily to do with being on the road and basically having no home to return to. The albums completion was made possible by Creative Scotland, which provided the funding for the studio time. Nisbets long term ambition to create a solo record that, at its heart, is one man playing directly to the listener, has been beautifully realised.
